Mini Italy, Mini You!

A blog about Italy cannot do without talking about miniature Italy (Italia in Miniatura) located near Rimini in the region of Emilia Romagna. This is a very well established themepark that has been able to renew itself throughout the years offering a spectacular miniature version of the Italian peninsula.

The themepark reproduces with loyal details the miniature version of the most famous spots of Italy including monuments, squares, and other landmarks that make you feel a giant when you walk through them. They are scaled down to a 1 to 25 ratio, therefore making them 25 times smaller than the original. Imagine the leaning Tower of Pisa, the Duomo of Milan, the Colosseum, the Piazza del Campo or the Reggia of Caserta at your feet, reproduced with perfect details.

However, the funniest and most interesting thing is the newest attraction of miniature Italy that just opened on June 25. From nowadays until 2012 you will be able to cast your miniaturized self into a square of Italy. You will be miniaturized! You just have to go to the themepark and you will be scanned and loyally reproduced with a miniature statue 25 times smaller than your true self. Then for just little less than €10 you can have your mini-you set in one miniaturized location of your choice and become part of this special theme park!

This is a very unique attraction all over the world. It only takes 12 seconds for you to be scanned and reproduced. Up until July 10, 2011 there is a special promotion at the price stated above. And for only €30 you can have yourself miniaturized and placed in the landscape, monument, church, square of miniature Italy, plus obtain a pass that will let you in the theme park up until December 31, 2014.

So now finally you too can have your place in Italy, and for as little as €10!
